Part Fabrication

This drawing completely defines the complete end product requirements of a part. It defines configuration, dimensions, tolerances, materials, finishes, marking, surface texture (if necessary), and any mandatory processes. It is important to ensure that all tolerances are applied correctly and that all data contains complete acceptance/rejection criteria. Item Identification (Part identification number) shall be established.

If any dimensions originate/terminate from a centerline, ensure that they are clearly identified with the use of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. All dimensional requirements are to be specified such that there can be only one interpretation. Review notes to ascertain that all requirements contain acceptance/rejection criteria and that their intent in unambiguous.
